The Equity and Inclusion Workshop Series

The Equity and Inclusion Workshop series begins Thursday, April 12, 2018! The series is designed for Park parents and family members new to critical social justice concepts as well as the experienced and those eager to employ these concepts into action and advocacy. The series will focus on race equity as a framework for discussions. The workshops are divided into seven weekly sessions that will take place at Park Thursdays, 6-7:45 p.m., April 12-May 24, 2018. The workshops, co-facilitated by Courtney Rollins, Park School Director of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, and Hallie Herz, middle school social studies teacher and Baltimore Showing Up for Racial Justice SURJ Teacher Group Facilitator, are designed to help participants raise their awareness, deepen their knowledge, develop skills, and identify actionable ways to engage in equity and inclusion work. The sessions build off the information explored in each workshop. Therefore, participants are strongly encouraged to commit to participating in each session.
