Volunteer and Give Your Time

Park School is grateful for the generous contributions of time and talent from our community members. In the Development Office, we appreciate the wonderful volunteers who help out with a wide variety of events, phone-a-thons, mailings, and so much more. There are many opportunities that need volunteers for a few hours or for an ongoing project. We welcome volunteers to join our efforts and make a difference for the Park community!

Here are several ways to volunteer in the Development Office:

Parents, Grandparents, Alumni

SERVE AS AN ANNUAL FUND VOLUNTEER

Annual Fund volunteers help secure donations (by phone, email, and letters), help plan Annual Fund events, and serve as ambassadors for the important work the Annual Fund does. Join the Annual Fund Volunteer team for an event, a semester, or a year! There are needs and activities to fit every level of time commitment. Email Laura Malkus at lmalkus@parkschool.net for more information.

SERVE ON THE GRANDPARENT COMMITTEE

Park School has a very active Grandparent Committee that supports the Annual Fund through on-campus phonings and letter-writing campaigns.  This committee also assists in planning special events, including Grandparents’ and Friends’ Visiting Day for both Lower School and Middle School.  Email Laura Malkus at lmalkus@parkschool.net for more information.

JOIN A SPECIAL EVENT COMMITTEE

Special events are a great way for the Park community to get involved.  The Park School Auction, a Development event, occurs every three years, and there are many giving days, visiting days, and other special events happening throughout the year.  Email Jayme Gilden Wood ’93 at jwood@parkschool.net for more information.

SIT ON THE ALUMNI COUNCIL

Make a deeper commitment to the Bruin community by joining fellow alumni on the Alumni Council. Help plan alumni events such as Alumni Weekend while nurturing connections between Park and the alumni community. Email Pailin Gaither at pgaither@parkschool.net to learn how you can get involved.

Students

PARTICIPATE IN THE ANNUAL FUND CLUB

Park students help spread the word about the importance of the Annual Fund. The mission of the Upper School Annual Fund Club is to educate former and current Park students about philanthropy at Park.  The Club makes phone calls, organizes spirit days and donor thank you events, and supports other important Development events, including Alumni Weekend and the Park School Auction. Email Laura Malkus at lmalkus@parkschool.net for more information.

SENIOR PROJECT

The Development Office hosts one senior each spring for a Senior Project.  Work includes event support, research, and other projects as needed.  Email Adrienne Peres at aperes@parkschool.net for more information.
