Parents of Middle and Upper School students, join us for two important discussions regarding kids and technology:
TUESDAY • MARCH 6, 7-9 PM Blaustein Lecture Hall
Coffee • Tea • Dessert
The evening will consist of panel discussions featuring Park School faculty members, administrators, and students. The discussions will be moderated by Upper and Middle School Counselor Dave Tracey:
LIFE IN THE AGE OF SOCIAL MEDIA Panelists: Middle School Principal Josh Wolf, Upper School Science Teacher Elliott Huntsman, Park students
What apps and websites are kids using today? What challenges do kids face as they attempt to balance school, extracurricular activities, and also their lives on-line? Hear from Middle and Upper School students as they talk about the pros and cons of staying connected through social media and how they manage — often with the help of parents — life in the digital age.
MAKING TECHNOLOGY WORK FOR YOUR FAMILY Panelists: Lower School Technology Coordinator Matt Doyle, Middle School Technology Coordinator Samira Phillips, Middle and Upper School Counselor Krista Dhruv
Parenting in the digital age can feel a lot like a full time policing job, but it doesn't have to. In this panel we will discuss best practices for healthy technology use, age appropriate guidelines, and how to engage your child in the process.
After brief presentations by panelists, parents will have the opportunity to ask questions or submit questions in writing.
*All Park parents are welcome to this event. The information, however, is geared toward the experiences of students currently in the Middle and Upper Schools.
