art games
AGES: 9-15
DATES: JUNE 24-JULY 5
PRICE: $900 PER 2-WEEK CAMP

One of the most exciting ways to make visual art is through art games. A lot of thoughtful artwork begins as playful experiments. In this session, we will explore the use of games, chance, and play to generate original art. During week one, students will explore different ways of creating art through play and games. During week two, students will make more individual projects based on their personal interests. On the final day, we will display our work and have an art show for friends and family to attend. While investigating the theme of play, participants will use a range of materials and develop skills in drawing, painting, and sculpture. Open to anyone who wants to have fun making art!

We will enjoy excerpts from both favorite and new-to-us writers of fiction, poetry, drama, and non-fiction before having plenty of time and tools to tackle our own, self-designed writing projects. Each camper will have one-on-one conferences with a writing educator, as well as constructive input from fellow campers in a workshop setting. Expect to have a wonderful time writing together.
