The Park School of Baltimore has an opening for a full-time leave replacement Physical Education teacher for the fall of 2019. We anticipate that this position will run from late August through mid-November. We are seeking an individual with a strong background in Physical Education and an interest in coaching. This teacher will join an experienced Physical Education department in teaching students in Kindergarten through eighth grade and coaching several seasons.
Park’s philosophy of Physical Education emphasizes the development of physical skills while fostering cooperation, teaching sportsmanship, and developing an enjoyment for physical activity and sport. All students take Physical Education throughout the Lower and Middle School years; the eighth grade program features a series of elective offerings that allows students to explore varied interests and talents.
Park salaries and benefits are highly competitive with those in other leading independent schools. For new appointments, salaries reflect experience and training equated to Park’s scales.
Under current policy, full-time employees who have been employed at Park full-time for two years are eligible to receive full tuition remission for their children who attend Park. All applicants, including employee children, must meet Park’s standards for admission. (During the first two years of employment, employees may apply for aid through the need-based Tuition Assistance Program.)
Please send letter of interest, résumé, personal statement, and recommendations via email or US mail.
