Nature and Creativity Camp


Guided by quality children’s literature, campers will explore the Park School campus and create art, sculpture, and edible treats. Possible activities include:

  • Collecting materials from the woods to create 2D and 3D artwork
  • Using an early harvest from the lower school garden to cook a meal
  • Choosing a peaceful outdoor setting to sketch
  • Writing poetry about the stream
  • Creating an outdoor community for open-ended daily play
  • Using one of Park School’s maker spaces to sew or build representations of a piece of nature

Children will have daily access to the pool, the hiking trails, and an indoor space in which to create, rest, and eat meals. Open to children entering Grades 2-4.

8:15 A.M. Drop-Off and open-ended play and creativity in the classroom.
9:15 A.M. Nature and creativity:  This will involve sharing a good book, preparing for our adventure, collecting materials, and creating some artwork.
11:30 A.M. Lunch and Playground.
12:30 A.M. Swim.
2:00 P.M. Cooking and sharing a snack from the garden.
3:00 P.M. Indoor / Outdoor games
4:00 P.M. Dismissal.
