Mindfulness and Yoga Camp


Mindfulness and Yoga camp is a chance for your child to spend a week learning new ways to deal with life’s daily stressors by becoming more in tune with their minds and bodies in a safe and nurturing environment.

We will use nature and yoga to stretch our bodies and renew our way of looking at the world around us. Children will learn fun ways to self-soothe, self-regulate, re-energize and be more in the moment.

Possible activities include:

  • Collecting materials from the woods to create both temporary and permanent art.
  • Choosing a peaceful outdoor setting to practice mindful listening and breathing.
  • Creating an outdoor community for open-ended daily play.
  • Using one of Park School’s maker spaces to make meaningful creations to help bring mindfulness into our everyday lives.
  • Daily yoga class which will include fun-filled yoga exercises and games that will promote team building, inner strength, and body awareness.

Mindfulness and Yoga Camp is run by yoga instructor and Park parent Christine Burchett. Open to children entering Grades 1-3.
