The School seeks a Director of Civic Engagement and Service Learning to continue Park’s long-standing and historic commitment to preparing students for lives of active engagement. The school’s most recent strategic plan (2012) affirms our goal of “continuing our progressive belief in active participation beyond the classroom (by promoting) civic engagement at student, faculty, and institutional levels.”
The Director of Civic Engagement and Service Learning is a full-time, twelve- month, senior level role; this person reports directly to the Head of School and is a member of the senior administrative team. We seek an individual who can implement a vision for a K-12 civic engagement program; someone who is able to work with faculty, students, alumni, and our partners in the broader community in effective, creative, and collaborative ways.
SALARIES AND BENEFITS
Park salaries and benefits are highly competitive with those in other leading independent schools. For new appointments, salaries reflect experience and training equated to Park’s scales.
Under current policy, full-time employees are eligible to receive full tuition remission after two years for their children who attend Park. All candidates, including children of employees, must meet Park’s standards for admission. (During the first two years of employment, faculty may apply for aid through the need-based financial assistance program.)
